Model of philologist graduate: competence-based approach

This article reviews the competence model of a graduate which is based on the willingness of the subject to apply the acquired knowledge, skills and personal qualities. The purpose of the work is to determine the qualifications that graduate philologist of the Pedagogical University should have. The authors in their choice are based on the regulatory documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, such as the Sectoral Competence Framework, the Professional Standard "Teacher" (card "Teacher"), the State compulsory standard of higher and postgraduate education. The research material of the article was chosen such concept as "competence". The definitions were considered that proposed in the works of Yu. Kostrova, O. Ulianina, et al. After analyzing these definitions, the authors made the conclusion that competence is a set of competencies which allow you to determine the knowledge, skills, abilities that the subject possesses. For compiling a competency-based model of a graduate philologist were identified such groups of competencies as general cultural, professional, research and communicative.
