Abstract

Fear as a social phenomenon (fears, anxieties, fears) is a fact of collective representations (social consciousness and social moods as a form of expression of the state of public consciousness). This is a fact of the collective reality of life. This article is the result of a study of associative reactions to the fear stimulus in students of the ninth and eleventh grades of secondary schools in Pavlodar. Fear is one of the dominant emotions of a person. The fear and apprehension of primitive man before the phenomena of nature, the fear of war, anxiety for his life, for the lives of loved ones and dear people, fear of an unknown future – all these can be examples confirming the universality and dominance of this emotion. It is based on one of the most powerful instincts – the instinct of self-preservation, which encourages a person to defend himself and save himself. Fear refers to human emotions and does not depend on the ethnic, religious and social affiliation of an individual. Since modern linguistics shows interest in any manifestations of the human factor in language, expands the possibilities of linguistic research, assumes the study of language from various positions.
