MODELS AND TRANSLATION OF ANTONYMIC PAIRS OF PHRASEOLOGISMS DENOTING PARTS OF THE HUMAN BODY

The study of somatic phraseologisms reveals the semantic and expressive potential of fixed expressions represented through the naming of parts of the human body. The diverse semantic and expressive properties of phraseological systems across languages are often manifested in their synonymic and antonymic relations. In this regard, the investigation of antonymic relations of somatic phraseologisms in the Kazakh and English languages, as well as their lexicographic representation in translation, demonstrates the relevance of this line of research.
The aim of the study is to identify the semantic organization of phraseologisms denoting parts of the human body, to develop structural models of their antonymic pairs, and to establish levels of equivalence in the process of translation.
In this study, five major somatic phraseological units denoting parts of the human body in Kazakh and English were selected, and 52 examples of antonymic pairs were identified across the two languages. Their classification is
