The scientific article is devoted to the methodology of teaching the Kazakh language to representatives of other nationalities. The independent Republic of Kazakhstan is a multinational state where mutual understanding and tolerance are the most important priorities of relations. According to the policy of our state, the importance of knowing the state language is increasing. After all, it is known that knowledge of the Kazakh state language helps representatives of other nationalities to expand their knowledge, career opportunities, skills, relationships with many people. However, the process of learning any language is not easy, especially when it is completely different from the native language. Therefore, the scientific article deals with the historical development of the methodology for teaching the Kazakh language to representatives of other nationalities,
the types of conversational activities and conversational activities in teaching the Kazakh language. The most important aspect of the development of speech is teaching the types of speech activity, effective listening in the classroom of the Kazakh language includes four different abilities (listening, thinking, interpretation, memory) and scientific conclusions about the types of listening (universal listening, detailed listening, critical listening). It is concluded that all methodist scientists stated that conversational activity and its types are of value and importance on the path of development and improvement of the individual and society, and that it is necessary to constantly pay scientific attention to it and develop it.
