The article discusses in detail the concept of linguistic personality. The type of system model introduced by researchers is proposed, and the linguistic personality is formulated as concepts, ideas, concepts of expression of certain meanings, as well as as a pragmatic intention, including goals, motives, interests. The teacher is a carrier of an elite and average literary form of speech culture. In this regard, the article gives O. B. Sirotinina's interpretation of the "elite type of speech culture". Several communicative abilities of the teacher's reference communicative personality are also presented. It was said that the language personality of the student for the implementation of speech activity in the set of competencies includes language, speech, communicative, socio-cultural and activity forms. The examples given show that these competencies are determined by the school curriculum. In the relationship between a teacher and a student at school, the importance of the teacher's opinion is taken into account, and it is also emphasized that the main precedent phenomena are the rules of student behavior, the texts of famous children's books, popular films and cartoons, advertising, children's songs and hits. Several factors influencing the formation of a student's linguistic personality are listed. The main task of the teacher is to professionally help students, pay attention to the high type of linguistic personality.
