THE PRAGMATIC ASPECTS OF TRANSLATING FAIRY TALES INTO KAZAKH

Abstract

This article focuses on the pragmatic aspects of translation, specifically the translation of fairy tales. Pragmatics is considered a field that studies the relationship between language and its user, as well as the social context of these interactions. Taking pragmatic aspects into account during the translation process is especially important, as translation involves not only conveying the correct meaning of words but also preserving cultural, social, and linguistic features. The article analyzes issues such as reader perception based on national culture and situational factors. In particular, it examines how the original meaning of a fairy tale can be preserved in Kazakh translations through word choice and the conveying of national features. The author encourages understanding the interrelationship between translation and pragmatics. Emphasis is placed on the national characteristics of fairy tales and fostering a positive attitude towards their translation into other languages.
