The article examines the speech behavior of a person associated with the influence of non-verbal means of communication. Speech behavior includes all "live speech" uttered during speech interaction, which includes words and their sound, gestures, facial expressions, spatial behavior. The same mimic or gesture phenomenon can have different motives and can be interpreted in different ways. The channel of nonverbal communication may have the property of functional independence from verbal interaction. In such cases, its meaning can be adequately interpreted only on the basis of the entire speech situation. Nonverbal speech transmission occurs simultaneously with verbal and can change the meaning of words, and with such a change, an inadequate interpretation of speech may take place.
