Abstract

The article examines the transformation and functioning of the linguistic identity of a modern Kazakhstani student in network communication from the point of view of the three-dimensionality of a bilingual language personality. The author investigates the factors influencing the choice of language in the virtual space. The Internet, as a special communicative environment and as a sphere of language realization that did not exist before, brought with it new ways of communication, stereotypes of speech behavior, new forms of language existence. In this regard, the relevance of language identity as a tool of interactive network communication is undeniable. The article examines the linguistic identification of Kazakh youth from interethnic Kazakh-Russian families. A survey of 200 respondents aged 18-21 years shows diversity in the linguistic self-determination of the individual in online communication. The choice of language is influenced by the content of the content, and the addressee or interlocutor, the platform, but the dominant role is played by the role of the respondent's EGO –Child, Adult or Parent.
