AXIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF FAMILY PROVERBS

The article defines the concept of “paremiology” and explores the meanings embedded in popular consciousness that are passed down from generation
to generation through proverbs and sayings. Semantic analysis of proverbs and sayings emphasizing the importance of the family was carried out. It has been determined that the main contextual themes of Kazakh-language proverbs and sayings about family include
the role of parents, parent-child relationships, family upbringing, the upbringing of girls, the upbringing of boys, relationships among relatives, and relationships between siblings. The article also describes both the positive and negative influences of proverbs and sayings used in family communication on the interlocutors. An analysis of proverbs and sayings describing family values has been conducted. The concept of value is defined, and the key family values are examined, such as the role of parents, the presence of children, harmoniousrelationships between siblings, and peaceful relations with relatives.
