The article compares and analyzes the syntactic structures of the heroic epics of the Kazakh and Mongolian peoples, specifically the forms of predicates that play a key role in sentence construction. The epics of these peoples are largely similar in terms of ideological, thematic, and compositional structure. In Turkology, there are a number of works and studies by Kazakh scholars on Kazakh-Mongolian linguistic contacts and literature. However, the linguistic study of literary and folkloric works remains one of the less explored issues.
The comparative analysis of the predicate forms in the heroic epics reveals the characteristics of the poetic periods and individual lines. The article concludes that the number of syllables in verses influences the creation of rhythm and inversion. These findings are presented in the form of graphs with explanations. The article also outlines directions for future research in this field.
