The article examines the understanding of human social existence and the study of the nature of aesthetic exploration of the world. The heroic epic of the Kazakh and other peoples has been selected for analysis. Attention is paid to the peculiarities of the aesthetic values of oral folk art through the comparison of epic forms, aesthetic and cultural values, symbols and national-cultural specificity of texts. The authors describe the general and national-specific features of the heroic epic of various peoples, conducting a comprehensive analysis of the texts. The article presents a comparative typological analysis that reveals the values of the Kazakh people against the background of universal human values. The authors emphasize the importance of intergenerational transmission of moral and spiritual values that form ideas about the relationship between a person and society and faith in development.
